Small hand held camcorder showing memory full

I can not find my model number.  Bought maybe a little over a year ago. It the black one that displays HD DV hdmi on it. It has I think 2 or 4 gigs of internal memory.  It keeps showing Memory Full but it is not.  I plugged in into the computer and deleted what was there and then I clicked on the properties of the F drive and it show only a 33 meg drive.  What the heck.  So is it toast?  It will not detect the memory.  There is no SD card slot, it's built in.

Can you help.

Did you delete the items in memory or did you format the memory?

Re: Small hand held camcorder showing memory full

I deleted them, I did not format it.  The PC is not even recognizing it as a 2 or 3 gig drive.  It sees it as a 33 meg drive.  I did not think formating it was a good idea as I am sure their are some sort of loading or system files on their.

You may be right about the files. I would think files of that nature would not be on that storage but it is possible. Can you research the camera on the net and find anything. Maybe a manual or instructions.
