WTF? I am editing someone else's video from an Insignia NS-DV111080F, and even though they are AVI files, Final Cut and Quicktime won't play them. Fine, I figured I would easily find the necessary codec on this website. False. Instead I have to search through the forums, only to have a "support specialist" give a list of websites to search through to possibly find the solution to my problem??
If you can't post a specific solution to this problem, I have to assume that there is no solution. This is no small thing. Your videos do not play on FCP! I shouldn't have to spend a day searching through websites and downloading a bunch of different files in the hopes that I will eventually solve the problem.
This is BS, and you know it.

Hello vidbot,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
Try installing Perian on your Mac. I have found that it resolves most video codec issues. I hope this helps.
