Re: Insignia® - 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Pink Model: NS-DSC10A question

hello i have a question about my camera - model NS-Dsc10A. I didnt know how to post a question so i just replied to one. So the other day i was recording a video on the camera and then accidently dropped it while still recording. The camera froze so i took it to the computer and plugged it in and it was fine. but when i unplugged it, I cant get it to turn on at all. I took out the batteries numerous times and put them back in but nothing seemed to be working. i just got this camera a month ago and i had no problems with it. Could you give me any kind of advice on why it wont turn on or what i could do to fix it? Please reply A.S.A.P

Re: Insignia® - 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Pink Model: NS-DSC10A question

Hello delta18,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

I would recommend returning to the place of purchase with the camera to pursue service options.  Without a diagnostic, there isn't a way to determine the precise cause of the problem.  You should be aware, however, that damage caused by dropping the camera would not be covered under the factory warranty.

Re: Insignia® - 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Pink Model: NS-DSC10A question

Hello, i did not know how to post a thingy so i just replied to this one. I got my camera at christmas time
Well, my pink NS-DSC10A digital camera is messed up i think? I'm not sure if its my memory card or the batteries or the camera? Because, every time i try to get on my camera it wont turn on, and i got on it last night for the first time in like 2 weeks because i couldn't turn it on. When i turned it on last night i went to delete some of my pictures and every time i got to this one picture it would say FILE ERROR and go black then i went off the view pictures thing and it took me to the take pictures screen, and when i tried to take a picture it took it but did not save the picture, when i went to see if i could view my pictures again after it told me FILE ERROR, it was black and it told me FILE ERROR and did the same thing again! So i tried turned off my camera and i tried to turn it on again and it wouldn't turn on. So now i still cant get my camera to turn on, and it's making me really angry. I don't know what/when/how/why its doing this, so i hope you can help me!!!
THANKS,
walter14

Re: Insignia® - 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Pink Model: NS-DSC10A question

Hello walter14,

Welcome to Community@Inisgnia™!

Seems there is a file error that is preventing the camera from turning on. Take the SD memory card out of the camera  or, if you already took out the SD memory card, try plugging the camera to the computer and erase all pictures stored at the internal memory (shouldn't be more that a couple since it has only a couple of MB). Once you do that try turning it on again and see if you get the error message. If you don't then try with a new SD card since the one you were using is defective.

Remember that if it is still not working, you can go to the store so a technician can take a look at the device.

Thank you,

Re: Insignia® - 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Pink Model: NS-DSC10A question

Hello,
Thank you, for the advice, i put in new batteries in my camera and it turned on, but when i went to veiw my pictures if went to the same excat picture and said FILE ERROR, then i turned off my camera and took out my SD memory card and did what you told me to do and plugged it into the computer and deleted some pictures off my camera and i tried to move the picture that said file error when i viewed my pictures and it said it couldnt move it to my file on my computer, then i tried another picture and it said i couldn't move it to my file. So i unplugged the camera and i viewed my pictures and IT DID NOT SAY FILE ERROR!   which i was excited about but if it happens agian the file error thing i shall get a new card!Smiley Happy
thank you again!
