10" Digital Photo Frame w/ IPS Panel
Model NS-DPF10WW-17
I loaded about 80 photos onto a USB drive. It wasn't long before I noticed that many of them were not coming up in the randomized rotation. I tried browsing the thumbnails, and nearly 75% of the files show up as black boxes with a red question mark. The frame doesn't appear to be able to read these files. Why is this, and how can it be corrected?
All the of the files are JPEG files, and are well under the maximum supported resolution.
The drive is formatted in FAT32, as recommended by the User Guide.

Hello huguel6,
Welcome to Community@Insignia!
Generally speaking, the only reason I can think of where your images would not display is if they are not in standard JPEG format despite the file extension. What software was used to create the image files? As a troubleshooting step, have you tried using another FAT32 formatted USB flash drive?
Regards,
John

Greetings huguel6,
Did you have a chance to try the suggestions John had made over the long weekend? We look forward to your reply to see how we might be of further assistance if that those suggestions don’t resolve the issues at hand.
Kindly,
Mariah

I would have needed to purchase another USB drive to test it, so I decided to return the unit rather than spend time troubleshooting.

huguel6,
Thank you for sharing that outcome with us. It’s our sincere hope that even if you didn’t purchase an Insignia Photo Frame that you did find one that fits your needs best. Have a great rest of your week!
Kindly,
Mariah
