Photo frame images are blurry / NS-DPF10WW-16

I just purchased the 10" digital photo frame and loaded some photos via a USB flash drive. The images look very blurry, though. They are crisp on my computer, but not so much on the frame screen. Is there a setting to adjust this? I'm pretty disappointed with this.

Also, is it possible to load images into the internal memory directly from a Mac and not have to keep the flash drive plugged in?

Thanks,

j

Hello jonsel,

Welcome to Community@ Insignia™!

What size files are you using? If the pictures you are trying to view are a very low resolution, the frame is going to have to expand those to fit the screen and they will turn out blurry. When you are viewing any of the menus, is that blurry as well?

No, this frame does not have any internal memory.

I set the files up at full size (1024x600) at 72 ppi. Should I use a higher resolution?

The menu looks ok. It's just the images that were really soft.

Hello jonsel,

Thank you for responding!

If the menus look fine then the blurriness is going to come from the pictures that are uploaded. 1024 X 600 is technically the highest resolution the frame can display but if you have higher resolution images I would like you to try them in the frame and see how they look. Ultimately the issue is with the images being uploaded.

Thanks. I did a test with a picture at double the pixel size (2048x1200) and that helped tremendously.
