I have a 32GB SD card and a similar USB thumb drive.  The picture frame will only play about 16 of the images I have on the card.  Is there a limit to the number of jpegs or the total size of the jpegs that is causing this or do I have a defective frame?

I am have a similar problem.  After about 30 miuntes pictures stop loading or freeze half way during a slide show. The manual talks about a Version or System Updrade (i assume Firmware) is there one available? Why would a slide show freeze after a certain time or number of slides?

In my case, I tried several USB thumb drives. For some reason, even though it works fine with my PC, the new thumb drive I bought does not reliability work with this picture frame.  I transfered all photos to a different USB drive and the picture frame works great.

So if your picture frame freezes while load a picture, try a different storage device.
