NS-DSC1110A Video and sound are out of sync

We have the NS-DSC1110A and when using the Video mode, the sound doen't sync with video.  Sound is just ahead.  When viewing it on the camera, there is no sound at all.  When I transfer it to a PC, thats when the sound sync issues can be heard.  Ideas?

Hello melblackrose,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

During video playback on the camera, you should be able to increase the volume by pressing the Zoom (T) button and decrease it by pressing the Zoom (W) button. When you transfer the videos to your PC, what software are you using to view/edit them? Are you running Windows or Mac OS? What version?

Re: NS-DSC1110A Video and sound are out of sync

Thanks for the response.

1) I did jack up the the volume all the way and it it had sound once or twice but not on repeated plays.  We'd get like 5 seconds of sound which is how we learned it was off.  for example, we had my husband count to 3 while holding up his fingers so we could match.

2) I'm on a PC (Windows XP) and was using the default Microsoft Media Player.  I think I solved that problem.  I tried quicktime and it was ok.

So the only issue is the playback on the camera itself.  I've used video on other cameras and its been in sync.  I just had my daughter do another test.  Its clearly out of sync on camera playback.  Pulled the SC card and placed into my PC and played it directly from the card using Quicktime and it works like a charm.

Re: NS-DSC1110A Video and sound are out of sync

Hello melblackrose,

Have you tried resetting the camera to defaults? The reset settings is located in the "Tools" section of the menu. I would suggest giving that a try; If you continue experiencing this problem, then it is possible that there is an issue with playback on the camera and I would suggest taking it to your local Geek Squad to have it assessed.
