We just purchased several of these. They automatically turn themselves off after about 5-6 hours. The manual says there is a power saving feature. I assume this is why they are turning themselves off.  I'd like to disable this feature so they just stay on but there is NO "power saving" area under the menu options to do this. I called tech support today and the girl said I would need to return them to Best Buy and they could fix them. I went to Best Buy and talked to them and they said they know nothing about how that can be fixed and said we would need to return the frames for other ones.

Is there any way to flash/upgrade this picture frame menu so I have the power saving option so I can then disable this feature so they don't turn themselves off?

Help!!

Hello djgoody,

Welcome to Community@Inisgnia™!

You will be able to turn off the power saving feature at the Setup Menu. On the main screen, select setup and looks for the Power Saving option and once there select OFF. After that is done the frame should not turn itself off unless there is a power shortage.

There is no "Setup" choice in the main menu nor is there anything remotely similar to Power Saving.

Hello Taylormade,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

The Setup menu is accessible from the Home screen, directly under the icon labeled "SD Card."  In order to access the Power Saving options, you may have to scroll down.  More details can be found in the owner's manual, beginning on page 23.

Reference to djgoody post dated 03-12-2010, he mentioned an excellent point, which is the same question I asked your respectful team.

Most digital frames before and now is providing more functions, one of them calendar, clock and cooler slide shows.

I'm satisfied with my Insignia because the LCD/Display is clear, but why we can not have an update patch for it?

Please this question needs your kind answer.

Thank you

Shad
