so, this doesn't play back mp3's natively with the iphone?  can't view pictures from iphone 4?  can't view videos from iPhone4?  or am i doing something wrong?

so i updated firmware, and music and movies work.  but photos doesn't work natively from iphone.  isn't this a digital PHOTO frame?

You can use the "iPod Direct Control" mode (Home/iPod/iPod Direct Control) and then navigate to your photos from the iPhone (not from the remote).  Once you play the photos on the iPhone, it will display on the frame and you can use the remote to pause or press next/previous.  The frame will show the images in 480P format.  You can also play any videos from the iPhone in this way.
