The camera has been working very well for the past 2-3 years. Occasionally I do get a message on the screen that says "Card locked." When that message is displayed I can't take pictures and I can't change settings. I can still view my pictures and transfer them, but that's it.

I usually turn off the camera, or make changes in the settings, change batteries, remove memory card, and the camera will work fine afterwards. There won't be any "card locked" message on the screen. However, two days ago that message appeared again and I've been trying and trying to do something to "unlock" the card, but I've had no success.

Any suggestions?

Well, I took the card out, put it back in, and everything seems to be working okay now. But in event that it happens again, what should I do?

In the event that the issue happens again, I would suggest trying a different memory card, as the issue could be with the card.
