Insignia® - 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Battery Question

I just purchased this camera for my daughter. I read in the specs that it takes 2AA batteries. Does anyone know if any rechargeable batteries are compatible? If so, what brand and how do they charge?

Re: Insignia® - 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Battery Question

Hello jmiranda,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

You may certainly use NiMH rechargeable batteries with your new camera.  Since the batteries do not recharge within the camera, you'll need to be sure to purchase your first set of rechargeable batteries with an included charger.  Both Energizer and Duracell (for example) have products like this.

Re: Insignia® - 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Battery Question

Hello, I just got my 10 megapixels camera for Christmas. I went to wal-mart and in the photo section where they sell memory cards and batteries, I found a Rayovac Nimh rechargeable pack. It has 2 AA batteries with it and it plugs right into the USB port of your computer to charge. So far it has worked out great and I would definitely recommend rechargeable batteries for this camera since it uses energy of the batteries quick. The price of the recharge pack was only $6.47   I hope this helps.
