I purchsed the HD version back at xmas for my daughter.  she wasnt using it so i asked why and she said it doesnt work.  i believe the prb is that it wont charge.  i dont believe we are not using the standard usb charging cable (which i understand is the only way it will charge and i must say that is a mistake that it cant charge off the computer).  in any event how do i acquire a new one?

This is the exact same power supply I have for my camera which is made by The Sunny corporation.This site doesn't seem to have any prices listed though.

This UK ebay seller sells them too, even though it says it's for a Vivitar camera. I think it's about $20.

I had the same problem trying to charge it using the USB cable plugged into my pc. It will not charge that way. Once I pulled out the A/C wall adapter then it started to charge again.  It would be nice if they explained that somewhere in the User Guide.
