Will there be a firmware upgrade to the 720p resolution on the NS-DCC5HB09 to allow for a higher quality picture with less recording time?  I would like to see an "HD-Hi" and "HD-Low" in the resolution box.  Right now I get 1 hour of 720p on a 2GB chip.  Is there a way of getting, say, 1/2 hour or fifteen minutes on a 2GB chip with a higher quality?  Is it possible now and I just don't know how to get to it?  If not, it would be a fairly simple firmware upgrade to create it.

Welcome to the forums!  You have some great ideas and I'll be sure that they're passed along!  I consulted our technical team about your questions and have to report that there is no firmware update available or planned for your camcorder for this functionality at this time. Any new updates will be available through the product page, so you might check there from time to time.
