I'm interested in the DPF8PR or the DPF0812W and have both manuals downloaded - thank you, guys, for making these available! It confirms my desire to purchase your products.

However, though both devices are quoted at 800 x 600 resolution, which is 4:3, both manuals say than in Normal display mode, "If the pictures you are viewing are in 4:3 format, they will have black bars on the sides of the screen" which surely cannot be correct? Or am I missing something?

You are correct that those two pieces of information are contradictory, I have reached out to our engineering team for clarification and will let you know as soon as I hear back.

You are indeed correct, thank you for catching the error in those manuals. Both devices operate in 4:3 and as such will not letterbox any images in a 4:3 ratio.
