I brought this in Novermber for my girls Christmas gifts. I just tried it for the first time on Tuesday it doesn't work. I left it plugged into an outlet for a day and a half and nothing. If it is plugged into the wall it turns on fine but if I unplug it from the wall it turns off. Should I just return it or do you have a solution. Thanks, Punky (a very worried Mom)

Try these steps: remove and reinstall the battery, ensuring that it is installed so that the "+" and "-" symbols on it and the camcorder line up. Since you've tried charging via a wall outlet, try charging via a computer USB port. For best results use a port on the back the computer, if available. If the battery still doesn't charge, please return it to the place of purchase for an exchange -- with our apologies for the inconvenience.
