Sorry to hear that, actuall that its not the ways it's supposed to work so i'd recomend to leave it on until the power is compltely drainedand then charge it back and try again.
If that doesn't fix the the powe button issue you can bring the unit back to the place of purchase with the receipt in order to have it check under warranty terms .
