I'll try again, since the is the *exact* same question asked recently by another user.  When will the 2010 Sony cx550v be available at Best Buy?  Thank you.

Nokia, thank you for the reply.  I'm ok with not knowing when, as much as I am of knowing if they will carry it.  They no longer have the cx500v on the web site, so that makes me think either they are getting ready for the cx550, or they do not plan to carry either model anymore.  It's extremely frustrating.

Bit stubborn are you?  You keep asking these types of questions and getting similar answers.  Best Buy is one of the last places to ever get any of the newest cams and they always charge considerably more than the other shops.  You could have gotten one on pre-order from B&* last month and saved hundreds and had it on release day.

I do realize that, and at least my question has been acknowledged now by one of the BB folks.  Anyhow, my company has an incentive program where we get points for customer referals, which are redeemable for various merchandise and gift cards.  I currently have around $1500 in BB gift cards, so it does not really matter that I could possibly get it cheaper somewhere else, as it is essentially free.  I am kind of limited to what they have to offer, so if they don't carry either the cx550 or one of the 2010 HF S line, I am going to have to try to unload my cards for cash, which I don't want to do, since there are so many scams out there.  I am trying to talk some friends into buying a big ticket item at BB so I can swap my cards for their cash, but I don't have any takers yet.  So, do you have any ideas of how to get rid of them if I can't get the camera I want at BB?

I posted to your thread asking if we will be carrying the new S series camcorder from Canon, but I also have some information as to whether or not we will be carrying the new Sony CX550V Camcorder. As with the Canon HF S20 camcorder the Sony CX550V camcorder should be available for purchase on BestBuy.com, and in select stores soon.
