I read in recent articles that Nikon and Canon are going to stop production of DSLR Cameras.
The advances on mirrorless cameras have increased now to the point that they are almost as good as DSRL in terms of speed.
I would tend to think this will also mean the end to the production of lenses that are made to mount to DSLR bodies.

Thank you for sharing this information. With the continuous evolution of technology, as you pointed out, we're certainly excited to see what other new innovations will be released next!

I am fortunate in that I already have all the lenses I want for my Nikon DSLR.
However, if they are going to be discontinued one of 2 things could happen. The price of existing inventory will go way up as they will be the end.
Or there may be good sales on lenses to clear inventory space.
