Will the a7 III ever be available in store or for in-store pick-up?

Seems like only shipping is available but I'd prefer to go into a store to pick it up so I can make sure everything is working. 

Any idea when this will be an option?

Thanks for connecting with us here on the forum.  Finding the right camera for your digital imaging needs is super important, so we appreciate you considering Best Buy for your upcoming purchase!  Like you, I also prefer to shop in-store rather than online in most cases since it's far easier to ensure the things you're buying are in an appropriate condition.

From what I can see, it doesn't look like we plan to carry this particular model in our stores anytime soon, but it does seem that we're expecting to receive more units sometime soon to begin fulfilling more orders for shipping.  That said, the Sony Alpha a7R III does appear to be available in select Best Buy stores if you'd be interested in purchasing that model instead.

Thanks for the reply. It helps but it doens't help as I was hoping that Best Buy would start carrying it in stores. Could understand if it was an obscure camera make or model but I believe this is one of the most popular full-frame cameras out there. 

Hoping Best buy changes their minds about carrying this in stores.
