Nikon announced this product last week as a replacement for the Coolpix. To Best Buy's Credit, you have already posted this product on your website. You have stated it would be available July 2nd.

1. Is this a firm date?

2. Will it be available in stores, or only online? My nearest store is Gilroy CA

We would not be able to comment as towhen the camera would be available beyond what we already have. Since pre-orders on BestBuy.com do not allow the in-store pickup option I assume this camera will be available only on BestBuy.com.
