I want to get into photography but don’t know what camera to get. I been hearing Mirrorless is the way to go but not opposed to DSLR if it’s the better option. What The use of the camera would be mainly pet photos with some wildlife and video. Don’t want to go breaking the bank on my first camera so something $700 or cheaper.
Thanks for the help.

Welcome, VinitBelam,
Welcome to our community forums and the wonderful world of photography! I know it can be quite overwhelming to decide exactly what camera you'd like to purchase. Thankfully, we have quite a few resources to help you sift through all the different options out there to help you find exactly what you need.
Both mirrorless and DSLR cameras offer great quality and the ability to switch out your lens to get the perfect shot. I personally lean towards a mirrorless camera as they usually trend towards a smaller size and don't usually need all the manual options that a DSLR offers.
We have quite a bit more information here and here to help you look at the advantages of both types of cameras. You can also stop by your local Best Buy to check out some cameras and get some hands-on experience before making a purchase.
Please let me know if you have more questions I can help with!
