I recently purchased the Kodak Zi8 HD Video Camera and it works wonderfully! The only problem is that the videos are in .MOV format, which is not supported by Windows Movie Maker. So I can't edit my videos. The software that came on the camera itself is VERY basic and does not meet my needs. I am looking for software that can convert the HD video from .MOV to .WMV or something supported my WMM. Thanks.

What version of Windows are you running?

Windows Live Movie Maker in Windows 7 added a LOT of support for a bunch of formats.

Otherwise, possibly try HandBrake or avidemux.

Check out PowerDirector.  Personally I use Adobe Premiere but it's got quite the steep learning curve and PowerDirector is said to be much more user friendly.
