I have a question, which camera is better to buy.

Canon Poweshot SD 780 IS

Nikon Coolpix S230

Nikon Coolpix S610

Nikon Coolpix S620

Sony Cybershot DSC-W220

Olympus Fe-20

Sonys use oddball memory that won't work in any other device (Memory Stick) so they're out.

Same for Olympus (xD memory).

That leaves the Canon and the Nikons.  I'm not particularly familiar with the listed Coolpix models, but in general Nikon's strengths have historically been in DSLRs and not in P&S cameras.  It's really hard to go wrong with the Canon SD-series cameras on the other hand.

+1 on Canon P&S's. Even though I shoot Nikon, if I was to get a P&S it would be a Canon.

Similarly, while my DSLR is Pentax, my next P&S is going to be Canon.

The SD990 is sooooo tempting...

I have benn using a Canon Digital Camera for the past 5 years now and they work really good.

Last Christmas my dad gave me a Canon Powershot and it's really fanatstic to use. So I go for Canon.
