Does anyone know how I can find out if Best Buy will be carrying the Canon Powershot SD980 IS? I found the camera through limited release on another website but the company does not offer extended warranty passed the manufacturer's warranty. So I am reluctant to buy if I can get it at BB.

From what I have seen this camera has gotten good reviews, and I can understand wanting to protect your new camera beyond the manufacturer's warranty. Unfortunately due to competitive advantage reasons no Best Buy® employee is allowed to divulge information on when, if, or for what price a specific product will be made available for purchase. I truly do wish I could be more help!

Any idea when BB will have this camera on line or instore? A lot of retailers are selling this camera, so i would think BB would have ti as well, looks like BB is the only online retailer not selling it.

Nobody but the corporate people would know but it won't be until Summer or late Spring most likely. That's the next big sale period with the graduation/vacation sales.
