Hello All. I have a Canon EOS Rebel T5. The flash on it use to work. But now all of sudden. The flash will not open. When i hit the flash button this error is displayed: "This function is not selectable in the current shooting mode". Now I've tried every shooting mode on this thing and i still get the same error. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey darkmanrob85,
Sorry to hear this. My first suggestion would be to Clear all Settings on the camera, and after you do that clear all custom functions. This should set the camera back to factory settings, and often resolves errors like this. Let me know if this does not work for you.
Thanks,

Hey Aprillambert86,
It certainly could be worth fixing. I would suggest bringing the camera into the Geek Squad precinct at your local Best Buy store to see what options they can provide you. My guess is the LCD screen needs to be replaced, but who knows.
Thanks,

When reading this my first inclination was to type what Allen wrote.
My Nikon has a reset button. Actualy it is two buttons that you press at the same time. I am sure the EOS has the same function.
I would try that first.
If that does not work. Possibly you battery had erroded to the point where it does not have the power. If you have a second battery fully charge it and try it with that.
