I love going to places with large crowds. Seriously, I think the most fun thing I’ve ever done was when I went to a local convention. It’s exhilarating to be surrounded by people that share your passions for a topic. It really helps to breathe a new energy into your enthusiasm. Unfortunately, Michigan isn’t exactly known as the prime spot for conventions. Instead, there’s one place that shines above all others, and I’m not just talking about how warm it is there. If you’re like me and you love conventions, you’ll want to check out the massive 1,600,000 sq. ft. convention center in Anaheim, California.

It would be a crime to mention the convention center without also talking about VidCon. VidCon was originally created by a YouTuber brother duo in 2010. Since then it has grown into the largest convention for all types of content creators. If you want to meet the biggest names in YouTube, hear from the best YouTube industry professionals, or even just surround yourself with thousands of fans, VidCon is the place to be.

This year VidCon is celebrating its 10th Anniversary so it’s sure to be the best one yet. It also is expected to have over 70,000 attendants and present over 200 featured creators. If you haven’t purchased your tickets already, be sure to do so ASAP as VidCon 2019 is taking place from July 10-13, 2019.

As an expert in these annual events I heavily recommend you show up prepared to VidCon. I’m talking the perfect camera to document your experience, a portable charger for your phone, and lastly some smart home technology to keep everything running smoothly while you’re at VidCon.
