A Handy Light

I can’t believe it’s the end of May already, and my departure date is less than two months away! Time flies when you’re having fun, and it’s sure been fun compiling my ‘Gotta Have It’ list and exploring the must-have products for a deployment that Best Buy has to offer.

On my list I’ve included everything from charging kits and headphones, to facial cleansing systems and iPads/Tablets. While this doesn’t cover everything I might find myself wishing I had while overseas, I feel like this collection of items would aid in supporting my mental, emotional, and physical health.

My tenth and final product to include is something I’ll probably find myself needing more than I’d think, especially since it’s hard to know exactly what to expect on a day-to-day basis while deployed. That being said, I’d definitely want to bring some time of flashlight and portable light. I do have an old flashlight issued to me by the Air Force a while back, but it never hurts to have an extra compact flashlight in my pocket or next to my bed. Many of the flashlight options Best Buy offers allow you to choose the brightness level for indoor or outdoor use, which would definitely be handy. And seeing as I’ll have a roommate, I’d hate to wake her up by flipping on a main light if I need to get up in the night.

I want to make sure I have everything I could possibly need before I leave the states, but packing for six-plus months in just a few bags makes this tricky, and there’s a lot of things to remember to include. That being said, I feel better knowing that most items on BestBuy.com can be shipped to a military address (APO/FPO). And if I’m unsure on how to place an order to ship to my location, there are clear instructions on how to ship to a military address online!

Well, folks, it’s been real. I hope this list could give you a few ideas of what to purchase and pack when traveling near or far, or maybe it sparked a gift idea for a loved one deployed overseas!
