Hi there, recently I ordered a laptop but because it was out of stock, Best Buy gave me a $100 eCertificate as compensation. I’m currently trying to use it for an order over $100 but it says it’s an invalid promo code.
When speaking to customer service representatives, they only offer me help with gift cards and e-gift cards. However, the email says this is an ecertificate and it doesn't work in either the gift card field or promo code field when I checkout. There was no expiry date stated anywhere in the email or my account, the email was sent to me on january 5th 2021. Some help would be gladly appreciated.

Hey, shayann2000!
Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear that your order was out of stock, but glad to hear that we were able to find a solution in the form of a gift card or an e gift card. An eCertificate sounds a little different to me, as well, so I can understand your concern here!
I would be happy to look into this certificate and see what I can do to help you use that ASAP! So that I can take a closer look into this, please send us a private message with your full name, email, and phone number and I can get started.
Best,
