e gift card failed authorization - balance gone

I tried to place an order using 2 gift cards, and one of them, worth $100, failed authorization. The balance was supposed to be back after 30 minutes according to your FAQ and it still shows $0, I'm worried about never getting these $100 back, and I'm worried that by the time this situation gets resolved the deals I'm interested in will be gone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thank you.

(I forgot to mention the order was placed and cancelled yesterday, so it's been quite a bit longer than 30 minutes Smiley Happy )

Re: e gift card failed authorization - balance gone

Hello, charlietuna,

Welcome to our Best Buy forum community!

Seeing a deal on the products you've had your eye on should be a time of excitement, but I can understand how instead it would make you stressed under these circumstances. Having an order cancel is never fun, but it's even less ideal if you're not seeing the funds hit your account.

If an order is cancelled, while funds can appear back on the gift card as quickly as 30-minutes after the cancellation, it can take up to 24-hours for the gift card to see the funds returned. If it's past that timeframe and you still aren't seeing the funds, I'd be happy to take a look at what's going on.

For me to get started, can you please use the Private Message option in my signature below to send over your full name, phone number, email, and gift card number (please don't include the PIN)?
