bestbuy didn't cancel my order

my order has been cancelled on november 6th. but they didn't cancel my credit card purchase.

my order number is {removed per forum guidelines} and {removed per forum guidelines}

It was 10 days ago. please cancel my purchase asap.

Regarding your concern about potential charges on your cancelled orders, it sounds like you’re still seeing credit card authorization holds on your credit card account and not a charge.


I say this because, when our customers order products online with a credit card, we do not immediately collect those funds. Instead, we perform an authorization check to ensure that funds are available. When this happens, a hold should be placed on funds equal to the order total until it is fulfilled. In some cases, it may be necessary to re-authorize payment before fulfillment. When the order is fulfilled, we will then collect the funds.


In a case where an order is cancelled before fulfillment, the time it takes for a credit card company to remove an authorization hold is determined by the financial institution that issued the card and can vary. The link here has additional information about cancelling orders with Best Buy, including common timeframes for authorization holds to drop. With that said, most credit card companies release authorization hold within 5-9 business days, though international credit cards typically take longer. If you have questions about when your bank or credit card company will release a hold, we would recommend contacting them directly for more information.
