Why was I given false info?

When I bought my tv, I was told by the sales clerk that it would be delivered this AM.

Just rec'd an email stating delivery is now "sometime today." I hate being lied to. Mean what you say, say what you mean. Or risk losing this customer forever!

Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback. I can totally understand how it would be confusing to hear one thing from the person who helped you in store and another from an email later. Best Buy expects all representatives in every line of business to provide accurate information, so I’m very disappointed to hear about this confusion.

 

Generally speaking, customers can find their current order status on the Best Buy website, either from their account or as a guest. With that said, I'd love to take a closer look at your order to see if I can provide clarification on when your TV is expected to arrive. I'd also like to get your feedback to the right place to prevent confusion like this from happening again in the future. To allow me to review your order, please send me a private message with your full name. phone number, email address, and order number.

Dont have my order number but I bought it in Goleta Tuesday afternoon. I'm Tracy {removed per forum guidelines}, phone {removed per forum guidelines} and email is {removed per forum guidelines}.
Let me know if you find out anything.

Thanks for your response. As you may have already noticed, I removed your private details from your last post. The Best Buy forum is viewable by the general public. We discourage anyone from sharing their private information (last names, phone numbers, email, physical address, etc...) anywhere it is viewable by the general public. In future, if needing to share private information with myself or another moderator, please use the forum’s "Private Message" function. If you're logged into the forum from a PC, you may see a blue button in my signature saying, "Private Message". Otherwise, if you click on my username (Kayla-BBY) over on the left, you can view my "About" page and send me a private message from the "Contact Me" section.

 

Moving forward, using the information you provided, I was able to locate your order and review the tracking information for your TV. It looks like this is being shipped to you via OnTrac. As of now, their last update was from this morning where they say the package is "Out for delivery". We cannot say for sure what part of the day OnTrac will deliver, but please keep an eye out for the package. If you check your order status online, you should also be able to pull up OnTrac's tracking number.

 

I understand that when you spoke with the representative in store, you understood that they specified the shipment would arrive in the morning. I’m sorry for any confusion you’ve felt during this process as a result. Please be assured that I have passed this feedback on to the right place so that we can work to prevent confusion like this from happening in the future.
