Why is it so difficult to get customer support from Best Buy?

Yesterday I received the monitor I ordered from and found the same monitor is being sold for a small price increase of $10 and it's brand new from Not only is it just $10 more for a brand new monitor compared to a used one, the monitor showed up at my front door in a clear plastic bag. The box it came in has no form of padding at all and it was shipped face down in the box, with only a thin piece of cardboard covering the screen! Upon assembly the monitor took a few moments to power on. Once it did the screen began to blink. Which was obviously worrisome to me, so I turned it off and unplugged it. After plugging it back in the monitor still took a while to power on but didn't blink. Because the monitor is overpriced and wasn't shipped properly, I am asking that Best Buy credit my account with 60% of the original price--$165.59 to be exact. Being a long time Best Buy customer I was expecting a much better experience doing business with your company online. I never thought I would be receiving an inferior product. I feel certain that Best Buy could not sell this monitor as-is for the original asking price. Because I have to have this monitor, I am willing to accept it at a discount rather than return it for a full refund. As long as it is still covered under the manufacturer's warranty of course. If I can't find someone with the authority and willingness to help me, I'll be returning my order and making sure I leave feedback about my experience and seriously question doing any business with Best Buy again. Thank you.
