Why I will never shop at Best Buy AGAIN!

I ordered a VR headset for a birthday gift on November 20th, 2020, and was told it would arrive Saturday, November 21st.   Well Saturday came and went and finally, on Tuesday I received a message that there was a problem with my delivery and they were unable to deliver it.  So I called Customer Service and they said that it was never shipped and it would be here two days later.  Well... it never showed up.  The birthday celebration had come and gone so I called back customer service (Now Nov 28th) and sat on the phone with them for almost an HOUR while they canceled my order.  Finally they were able to cancel the order and gave me a confirmation #.  So two days ago...  I get a charge for over $400 for the VR (which is now priced at $300) and later received an email that my order WILL SHIP SOON.  So AGAIN I called customer support and now was told that they cannot cancel my order even know it had not yet shipped.  And now I am seeing that I can expect a 15+ day delay on my return refund.   The other option is to venture out to the store during a pandemic and try to return it there.  Needless to say I am not happy.

I ordered this from Best Buy because I do not like ordering everything off of Amazon.  I believe they are killing other businesses.  I know one thing FOR SURE.  Amazon would have never treated me like this.  I could have canceled the order and had a refund the same day.  I promise you-  This is the last time I ever shop at Best Buy.  I am surprised you are still in business!

I can understand wanting to treat yourself to some new tech for your birthday, and I'm sad to hear that there was some issues with the fulfillment of your order. For clarification, have you since returned this item? If not, you can return it either by visiting a local Best Buy store or by shipping it to us within the Return & Exchange Promise.
