Where's my iTunes digital gift card???

2.5 hours later, I haven't received the email telling me what my code is. I called the toll free number (twice) and kept getting folks who I could hardly understand.


I told them I never received the email, despite Best Buy's site saying they sent it. After having to repeat myself six hundred times (only a slight exageration), I'm told the system wouldn't allow them to regenerate a code, so they have to send something (my info? a beer? a bribe? who knows?) to a code support specialist, at least I think that's what they said. Oh yeah, and "if my code is still available", which the person couldn't explain, I'll receive it in 24-48 hours. When I enquired why it'd take so long for a supposedly instant / digital item, the person stuttered and said it could take 36-48 hours. It's like because I asked the question, they added on a 12 hour wait.


Then I'm given a number {removed per forum guidelines} with no explanation (that I could hear or understand) as to what the number was, what good it would do, or where to enter it. One might guess that it's a support ticket number but there's no place on Best Buy's site to enter it that I could find.


What a drama.

Exaggeration or not, having to ask for your iTunes gift card code 600 times is probably 599 too many times for my liking, so I completely understand your disappointment with this experience.  We generally like to make sure our customers have a drama-free experience when shopping with us, and I apologize if this hasn’t been the case in regards to your iTunes gift card order.
