What does this mean?

Okay guys, so it’s my first time buying online from Best Buy, they were only available for shipping. I ordered the Sony WF-1000XM3 Noise-Cancelling Earbuds. It says that is “Expected to ship by September 20th” what does that mean? Does it mean that it’s going to leave the warehouse that day or? Please help and thanks a lot in advance!!!

Online shopping can be a rewarding experience. But it still different from simply picking it up in a store. 

 

Please keep in mind shipping dates and expected are nowhere on the site listed as a guarantee.  They are an estimate.

 

In this case your ear buds are expected to ship by September 30th.  It will take 1 to 7 days to get to you. 

 

When a product is not in stock and the expected shipping date is that far out that truly means it is an expected date and not  a guarantee.

So in other words, I might have to wait even longer to get them? It’s crazy how they went out of stock so quick! People really willing to spend $250 on earbuds, it’s kinda frustrating because all the other options don’t fit me. I’m a iPhone user, but I think AirPods aren’t worth it. They sound very little different compared to their cheap wired included for free. I tried Jabra Elite Active 65t they were far better than AirPods but they would hurt my ears after any period of time. I’ve seen so many good reviews on the Sony’s and I hope the long wait is worth the time.

You are correct. These are really high demand right now.  Cannot keep them on the shelves.

Well I appreciate you for relieving my anxiety! It’s been killing me. I’m literally listening to music all day long. The only thing that keeps me steady lol
