WeMo Dimmer not functioning, no customer service option for company, no help from Best Buy Chat

We recently purchased WeMo dimmers to be installed throughout our entire house (10 to be exact), and after our electrician installed them, we noticed the lights turn on and off, constantly. It's worse than flickering! It looks like a light show in our home. Our electrician tried to troubleshoot the circuit as well as the lights themselves and concluded it's an issue with the dimmers. We tried to contact customer support for WeMo but apprarently the company is out of business. We tried contacting Best Buy chat to provide support and they couldn't help. They also informed us the lights were past the return window (1/17/23), and that they also couldn't provide us with store credit if we were to return them! I think it's ridiculous to have such a tight return window on an item with a company that is non-existent. We didn't get a chance to return them in this window because we had to get them installed and troubleshoot them (as we really did not want to go through the hassle of replacing them). So who do we go to for support? Are we supposed to lose all of the money invested into a product that doesn't work?

Thanks for reaching out to us here on Best Buy Forums, although I wish it were under better circumstances. I can certainly understand wanting support on your Wemo products.


While it is true that our Return & Exchange Promise allows for a return or exchange within 15 days on most products, you should still be able to contact the manufacturer for support on this, usually within a year of purchase.


I was able to look into this closer for you, and it looks like Wemo is a subsidiary of Belkin. Here is the Manufacturer Warranty information for these products.
