Want to Make sure I'm going to get a refund for my purchase

Hi Team,

 

I recently purchased a TV on the 6th of June. As of today on the 23rd my order was cancelled for the TV as well as the protection plan I purchased. I understand that it may be a few days until the refund reaches my bank account but what I am concerened with is that when I look at the cancelled order on my account both of the cancelled items show a total value of $0.00. If I click on "show payment details" it also shows $0.00 in all catogories. Is this normal? When the order is cancelled does it show a quantity of zero for the products and $0 for the amounts?

 

I just want to make sure I will be receiving a refund and this has me a bit concerned.

We appreciate that you chose Best Buy for your TV, purchase, though it’s certainly disappointing to hear that the order was cancelled.  I hope that there weren’t any concerns around that cancellation where we failed to provide good service.

 

When an order is placed, we generally only authorize the purchase at first, and don’t charge unless you paid using a gift card or PayPal.  With this being the case, if your order is cancelled, the authorization should usually drop in 24-72 hours, based on your bank.  This would show up as a zero amount, since we didn’t actually charge anything.  If that authorization has not dropped off your account, I would recommend communicating with your bank to see their time frame, and have them remove the authorization.  You can find more information on cancelling your order here.
