This is the 4th or 5th time after countless times trying to buy an NVIDIA graphics card that I was able to Add it to my Cart and when I click "Check out" I get the message "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB GDDR6X PCI Express 4.0 Graphics Card - Titanium and Black is no longer available for pickup at the store you selected.
Sorry about that! You still might be able to get it if you check nearby stores for availability."
At that point I can't do anything to purchase it. What is going on?

Someone in store may have already bought it or someone already added it to their cart and checked out successfully meaning its gone. Unfortunately this happens with high demand items.
I'm afraid you'll have to wait for another chance to buy it.

Welcome to the Best Buy Forums!
I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us regarding your experience. Being that these graphic cards are going just as fast as the PlayStation 5s, I get where you are coming from. This happened to me yesterday when I tried to get one for my son, and once again, I get to my cart and “poof” no longer available.
That stated, hockeycanuckjc is correct. We’ve tried to update our site so you can see all of these notifications while attempting to place this order. When an item is in your cart, it is not secured for you. If both of us are placing an order for the same thing, and I check out first, it is no longer available for you. At this time, it looks like we both have to try again. I appreciate you reaching out to us. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I would also like to vent my frustration at this system. I have been vigilant, I even signed up for HotStock to get notified when the cards are back in stock. I have gotten a card into my cart about a dozen times now over the past few months and either not been able to select my local store at all, or only recieved the message the original poster mentioned, expect for my local store and all other nearby stores.
Why is there a limit to the number that can be sold to a single store in the first place? I can understand needing a limit for some of the bigger stores in the cities or something, but sincerly doubt there can be that many orders placed to my particular local store...
Just want to make sure there's not something else I should be trying. I already added my payment information, and since I've bought stuff from the website before, my info is all set up... not sure what else to do!
