VERY Frustrating & unnecessary time consuming Price Match issue!

I just left a Best Buy store where two managers (one was Davin and the other manager was female) were unable to assist me with what would have otherwise been a simple function because of a setting that was changed in the system.

On May 27th, 2021 I ordered the software Nero Unlimited Platinum for $99.99 ( Order # {removed per forum guidelines}) and I picked it up the next day. The product URL is: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/nero-platinum-unlimited-android-windows-ios/6405149.p?skuId=6405149

Yesterday, June 1st, I realized it was $94.99 at Office Depot and then today while in the store we (me and the store staff) realized that Best Buy was internally pricing the product this week at $54.99 just after the $5 Office Depot price match had been completed.

When the manager tried to complete the internal Best Buy price match she indicated that the system not only would not let her redo the price match, but it also would not let her do a temporary return on the order, which means that even though the purchase is 6 days old and is within the 14 day return window it wouldn't even let me return it if I tried. This was highly problematic and off putting for all of us. A higher ranked manager Davin couldn't think of a way to circumvent the issue and resolve the problem.

I am seeking the $45 product value difference back to my card and I am asking for a customer satisfaction gift card for the difficulty and time I had to take to try to resolve this after through the app and the website (I couldn't) and the research to find your email contact information and then this forum.

Experiences and issues like this are supposed to be easy and quick to fix and when problems like this arise it deflates my optimism about how much you care for me as a customer and human being because this should have been easily resolved in less than 10 minutes and one step!

I sent this as an email to onlinestore@bestbuy.com after drafting a detailed email only for it to bounce back saying that the email is no longer supported and to go to the website which DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM!!!

Per our Price Match Guarantee, we offer one price match per purchase, which may be why they ran into an issue after processing the first one.
