Purchased a tv last month. I decided to go through with adding a 5 year protection plan. A while back I asked customer service via chat if I can used my gift cards to reduce the cost of the plan and said yes. Today I proceeded with the plan all I saw was a pop up window, the price of the plan and place order button, I clicked it and that was it. I thought it would take me to the usual checkout page where I can enter the giftcards and a credit card to pay for it but it just straight up charged the payment method I used for the TV!

I just purchased a new one myself and know I want to make sure it keeps working for a quite a while. I appreciate you letting you know about your experience adding this and would be glad to provide some more details on how this process works.
Based on your message, it sounds like you added this plan online. Is that correct? Due to system limitations we are unable to add or change the payment method used on an order so the original form of payment would have been used. In order to use these gift cards we could add this plan at one of our store locations so we could create a new purchase.
