Upgrading through Best Buy with existing Verizon Plan

I am an existing Verizon customer eligible for an upgrade. I am enrolled in one of their Unlimited Data plans. I'm looking to purchase the Galaxy A71 5G UW since it's currently $20/mo for the 24-month payment plan. In the fine print, it says BB won't change my existing Verizon plan, but also later says that those of us upgrading to a 2-yr plan and have Unlimited Data plan (which is describing me) will be enrolled in Verizon 2GB plan for $30/month for that line. Can someone please clarify? I was just looking to replace my existing phone with the Note10 and wanted to make sure my existing plan stays intact.  Also, along the same lines regarding whether or not any of my existing plan would change, the terms mention that an upgrade incurs a Monthly Line Access fee. The Unlimited plan does not charge a monthly line access fee so wanted to make sure upgrading through BB would not add one to my existing plan  Thanks

Here is the exact statement after adding phone to cart........

These amounts will be billed by Verizon and do not include your existing line or account charges, or fees, taxes and surcharges which can add between 7% and 46% to your bill. Except as follows, your current Verizon price plan and features will not be changed with this transaction. Each device added or upgraded to your account will incur a Monthly Line Access Fee which may vary based upon your contract or device payment enrollment. Those customers Upgrading with a 2-Yr contract who have an Unlimited Data package will be enrolled in the Verizon 2GB Data Plan for that line for $30/month. If you complete this transaction, Unlimited Data cannot be returned to your line of service.

Re: Upgrading through Best Buy with existing Verizon Plan

[ Edited ]

Good afternoon, nick2788,

Welcome back to our community forums. I know that getting a new phone is a big purchase and I would want to be sure of what plan I would receive before making a decision. I would be happy to help you look into this.

As this fine print mentions, it does look like upgrading with a two year contract would switch you to a Verizon 2GB plan at $30 a month if you originally had a unlimited data plan.

Because every mobile account can be a little different, I would recommend visiting your local Best Buy so our associates can help review your plan and make sure you have all the information you need to make a decision. You can schedule an in-store consultation here.

Please let me know if you have more questions, I'm happy to help as much as I can!
