Unable to pickup package from access point: UPS won't help

Hello,

I recently ordered a laptop from bestbuy.com that was delivered to a UPS Access Point after I was not at home when the delivery was attempted. The access point wouldn't recognize my id and phone number as registered under the package address so I couldn't collect the package. UPS hasn't responded to my calls or emails. Moreover, the 'delivery options' tab on their website is also broken and is facing technical issues. According to UPS, I have to pick it up by 05/04/2020.

Will my item be returned to Best Buy if I fail to pick it up? Will Best Buy process a return or reattempt a delivery? Its been so frustrating because my old computer just gave up on me and I can't really work without this new laptop.

Man that stinks.   You said UPS didn't respond to your calls?  As in no one answered when you called?  Unfortunately when it comes to UPS' processes, Best Buy has very little say in the matter as it's completely ran by them.  I would probably stay on the line with them as long as it takes to get their part sorted so you can pick up your item.  I can answer the other questions for you:

Will my item be returned to Best Buy if I fail to pick it up? Yes!

Will Best Buy process a return or reattempt a delivery? They will process a return.

Re: Unable to pickup package from access point: UPS won't help

Thanks for the help! Really appreciate it.

I tried UPS support number provided on top of the access point location and unfortunately, it was out of service due to the virus situation. I tried calling on other support numbers on their website and every time the AI would fail to connect me to an agent or the agent simply won't respond.

Where is the Access Point? Like what sort of business is it attached to? Perhaps they get regular deliveries and know the driver. I was on hold for an hour, but I did speak to an agent via the main UPS number last Thursday. I’d select track a package and provide the tracking number to them, then keep saying operator or customer service once that portion has passed. UPS system will usually connect you that way.

Hope you get your package soon!
