USPS Tracking Says Delivered But No Package

I'll try this again since my last attempt was marked as spam and I don't know why.

I ordered an SSD that was sent via USPS Priority Mail.  The USPS site says delivered (though the zip code on the delivery scan is the complete other side of town).  This isn't unusual in the sense that they always scan the Priority Mail packages whether or not they deliver them to keep out of trouble.  They usually show up the next day.  But, it's now been a couple of days and no package.  USPS contacted the contract delivery person who says they delivered it.  The camera we have trained on our mailbox shows nobody near it hours in either direction of the delivery time.  USPS says I can file a missing mail report after 7 days.  They said it was insured, but only for $100 and I would need all of the paperwork to file a claim.  There really isn't anything on the Best Buy site if you're marked as delivered.  I need some advice about what I should do.  This thing cost almost $300 and I'm really hoping that I'm not out the money.


Anyone have any advice...or is this one of those things where I just hope it turns up?  Or hope that if it was delivered to the wrong address that the person decides to be honest about it?

If you have not been able to locate the package that was marked as having been delivered, it stands to reason you’d be seeking guidance and support. In some cases, carriers will attempt to conceal deliveries in a secured area. If you’ve already checked the perimeter of your property and asked any neighbors if they may have received this package by mistake, I’d be happy to investigate this for you.
