I have a question about Reshipment inventory.
I placed a preorder last week for Pokemon Sword and the order supposedly shipped last Thursday (with an estimated delivery of Friday), yet UPS never shipped the order (Order processed, ready for UPS). I called customer service and they said that the order was lost and I could either get a refund or have it reshipped. Yet I was told there is no inventory to reship the order. This is kind of odd as Pokemon Sword is showing in stock both on Bestbuy.com and in the local shows. My current options are to wait until their is reshipment stock (no ETA on this) or to cancel (on which I will lose my $10 preorder certificate).
One thing I am trying to understand is why there is why there is no inventory to process a reshipment despite it being available both locally and on the retail website. Is there a special inventory set aside to deal with defective merchandise/lost shipments? And lastly, is it too late to convert my order to in store pickup?

Welcome to Best Buy’s online community. Placing an order online should be an easy and quick process, so it’s discouraging to hear that your order has still not arrived, especially after speaking with the carrier to learn that it was lost.
