TV picked up by wrong person

I have ordered a 65 inch TV on Nov 10th from bestbuy.com. The pickup location the Prestonwood store (5301 Belt Line Rd #110, Dallas, TX 75254) and after a few calls, I make the pickup as Nov 21st. Yesterday I add my friend Lisa as another pickup person. She will do that for me 20th or 21st. 

 

But today, I get an email that this order is picked up at 3:30 PM. 

I have evidences to show that I am in Lubbock today, which is 350 miles away from the store. My friend was enjoying a concert at that time. In fact, Lisa's name is different from her ID. 

 

I have called the Prestonwood store, and the manager tells me that after checking the ID and on paperwork the TV is picked up. They could not show me the security camera footage without investigation from the authority. I ask if it is ok that I send him my photo and my friend's photo and let him decide if the pickup person is one of our two. The manager says no. And he suggests me to call my credit card company to dispute the charge 


I have called bestbuy.com. The operator tells me to contact the store and ask for the signature. I will call the store again tomorrow. I have called my credit card company to dispute the charge.  But this is a horrible experience.

 

 

And I am not alone. There is a similar complain this March.

BestBuy, please contact me and I can show you the evidence that we are far away from the store at that time. I want to know who picked it up either video or signature. I really want my TV!

I am going to submit an identity Theft Complaint Form to the Dallas Police Department – Financial Investigations Unit.

 

Maybe they can see the bestbuy security video.

I apologize about the delayed response to this matter, and I’m hoping by now you’ve had the opportunity to file a report with your local law enforcement.  We do appreciate you for letting us know about this, and I do want you to have peace of mind knowing we’ll cooperate with any investigations that are opened up on your behalf.

I have filed a report and still wait for the policy reports. 

 

I will go to the store in person sometime later.
