Still No Paypal Refund After 2 Weeks of Returning Item

Hello,

 

I've been calling Customer Service about getting my Refund for returning Cyberpunk 2077 for the Ps4 and the Steelbook on the 19th of December 2020. I returned the video game at my local store and have still not gotten my refund. 

 

Customer service in the beginning has told me to wait a couple days and when I contact them back about it, they have given me nothing but the run around such as telling me to call back late or going back to my store where I returned the game.  I have since been to my store twice trying to get my refund. They could not give it to me saying that my refund had already been processed  and the only information they could give me was already on my reciept such as my Customer Service Pin.

 

Last night I called back customer service three different times attempting to fix this issue and get best buy's transaction ID number used for my refund for paypal. The number that customer service provided, after multiple request to the customer service agent for the tranaction ID is still incorrect and was not found in paypal's system. Paypal told me that Best Buy has not issued a refund to me.  My Paypal email is different than my best buy account email.  So, I hope they did not send my refund to the wrong email address.  

 

I have been dealing with this for two weeks now and best buy has my funds and game saying they have refunded me when they have not.  I'm tried of wasting my time trying to fix this, customer service has seems to be unable to fix my situation.

Thank you for reaching out to us here on our community forums. I know that any time I return something, I want that refund to be available in my account as quickly as possible. I appreciate you letting us know about your experience and would be glad to provide some details on how this process works. 

 

Generally, Paypal refunds are processed within a week, but the time to see the refund may vary depending on the payment method used. In some cases this can take up to 30 days. You can find some more information here.

 

Refunds are processed to the original form of payment used so there shouldn't be any issues if your My Best Buy account is under a different email address. If you'd like, I can take a look at this return to make sure it was processed correctly. I will need some more details to do so.

I was able to finally send it.  I have a feeling there is something wrong with my order as best buy usually refunds my paypal fast.  It's already been beyond a week,  It's been two.  I was given a Tranaction ID from a customer service rep after asking multiple time which did not work and was invalid for paypal. I'm being told different things by everyone, wait 2 days, to haing it be esculated, only to be calling back after waiting 2 days to get the run around of them saying they have already processed it and to contact paypal.  Which I keep telling them I contacted paypal not even 10 mins earlier before calling them.
