So we ordered a DVD set on 11/27 that should already be here by now. Last week on 12/9 the postman knocks on the door and says we need to pay $23.80 in postage for the TV that was shipped to us. The TV has a packing label for 6 oz. Best Buy shipped a 40 inch TV to us on the shipping label for the DVD set. We paid the postage so we could receive the TV and then return it to Best Buy...considered refusing shipment but then was afraid that Best Buy would just mark the dvd set we paid for as being refused. Brought the TV to the local store five minutes from us and dropped it off. They told us we would have to call the customer service online number to get this resolved. Called the Customer service number on 12/9 and am told that the only option for the DVD set to be ordered was an in-store pickup. There is another edition of the same DVDs now that is currently available for shipping now. It also was at a store that would make it at least two hours to drive there and back and pick up the dvd set. Said that I had paid for shipping already and had returned a far more valuable item I could have walked away with so I should not have to waste so much time and gas for what was a Best Buy mix-up. Was put on hold for a few minutes and then was told it would be ordered from a store but shipped to my house. I am now getting e-mails telling me I have only a couple of days to go pick it up at that store an hour or so away from here. How can I tell if it will really be shipped to me or is this order still really messed up? I also was then transferred around to four other people and I lost the call on the last one to get reimbursed for paying the shipping Best Buy messed up on for the TV that had a label on it for the dvd set. . I am also still owed that $23.80. I have picutres of the shipping label and of the tv being dropped off at our store.

Thank you for stopping by our community forums. I do most of my shopping online so I can imagine your surprise to be told you were required to pay to receive this delivery. To my knowledge, there should not be any fees like this when making a purchase from Best Buy and I'd like to take a closer look into this to see how I may be able to help.

Anyone have any updates on this??? I sent the order information already. So far here is how this stands....No DVD set yet ( at this point a refund is preferable) and a refund of the postage paid to receive the 40 inch Vizio TV sent to us by mistake since it weighs much more than the 6 oz shipping label that was attached to it since the shipping label was for the DVD set. So no merchandise and out 50 dollars because we were honest and retured a large TV we didnt order.

Current status is refund for DVD has been issued. I need to send in proof of the shipping labe with the postage due. Everything is satisfactory now. Missed an email until after I typed the message saying things were not resolved. So halfway resolved and I need to provide more information for the rest which makes total sense.
