An excellent question! I know I’ve found myself in a similar situation when I’ve pre-ordered games in the past (especially if the developer decides to push back the release date), and I’m glad you’ve visited our Support Forums for answers!
To clarify, our system will generally submit an authorization request for your order to your bank or credit card company, to make sure the funds are available when you originally place your order. From there, assuming the authorization is accepted, it can generally take up to 8 business days for the authorization to expire. The timeframe can vary, depending on your financial institution, but once the authorization expires, you should no longer see this charge as “pending” on your statement.
