Made a purchase. Got an email saying that it could be delayed by a month. Why can't I cancel the order? The item is in stock at my local Best Buy. Why do I need to wait a month? Even if it doesn't take a month, any longer than the standard 2 days in not acceptable. The purchase was for $300, so I was able to get 1 day shipping. Why would it even give me that option if the item isn't stocked?

Welcome to our community. There is nothing quite so aggravating as having an order delayed. I know when it comes to my orders, I don't want to wait to get my stuff. I regret that you're having to cope with such a situation.
In my experience the one-month shipping delay notice is a generic estimate used by our order management system when there’s a slight hiccup in processing on our end. In nearly every instance I’ve encountered this, shortly after receiving notice of the delay the system updates the order with a more accurate estimate, sometimes without any actual delay at all. Orders in the process of shipping cannot generally be cancelled.
You should receive a new notification when your order ships. If you haven't seen an update yet, please let me know and I'll be happy to look into it further for you.
