Shipping Delay? Seriously...?

I placed an order for a laptop last night. It was to include free overnight shipping. The overnight shipping is WHY I ordered from the website rather than simply going to the store to pick up the product that I ordered. Simple convenience.

Little did I know, these stupid shipping delays are a common occurrence through Best Buy.com.

The item is still available to purchase on bestbuy.com. It is still available to walk in and pick up at the store. This delay is asinine.

Yet, I am to wait until Sunday (It’s Friday now, the day the laptop was to be delivered. The day I could’ve walk right into the store and walked out with my item.) with my funds in limbo, the sale price about to disappear and no option to cancel, to see if my item actually ships or does not ship. Again, even though the product I purchased appears to be in abundant supply!

From now on if I can’t pick up my item in store, I will simply find it elsewhere.

Lesson learned.
